It’s the reality of owning knives. they eventually get dull and need to be resharpened. When your knife is blunt, it requires substantially more pressure to do any given cutting task. This increases the risk of an unpredictable slip when the blade finally does cut, which is pretty dangerous. A sharp tool cuts with far less pressure meaning you can do more with less effort.

While I won’t discourage you from learning how to do it yourself, high quality knife sharpening equipment is not inexpensive and does require a lot of practice. Let me do it for you and be confident that your knives will return will the sharpest edge you’ve ever seen.

I generally charge $15 per blade. Heavily damaged blades may require more work to get cutting again.
